History: Zell grew up in the same orphanage as the other main characters where he was constantly picked on by Seifer. Eventually though, he was adopted by the Dincht family from Balamb. He idolized his adoptive grandfather, who was a legendary soldier. Aiming to follow in those footsteps, Zell joined Balamb Garden at the age of 13 to train as a SeeD and follow his dream of becoming like his grandfather. Some would say he tried too hard sometimes, but Zell's skill in hand-to-hand combat was unmatched throughout all of Garden and his reputation became well-known even to those like Squall. (Not much but...ehh, it's an original and not much is explained!)

Roleplay sample: (T.T I'll try my best!!) Today was the day! The day that the results of the SeeD tests came in. Zell pushed his way through the crowed of students that were gathering around a few sheets of paper pinned up to the wall. He began to search franticly for his name, even skimming along and stopping at any name that started with a Z, hoping he wouldn't let his friends down. There it was, once he spotted his name on the sheet of paper it was like someone had printed it out in huge bold letters, his eyes widening as he could feel his lips hurt from his huge smile. "YEAAAAH!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!!" He danced around the crowd, giving hugs and noogies to a few people as he starts to now run around the Garden to show everyone how excited he was. He even did a few victory battles inside the training room, and a few laps around the main hallway of the Garden. "Man! Just wait till Ma hears about this!!"
